Hoping to be in bed by 10pm - I've got 29 minutes to post this.  Let's hope LJ doesn't suck at uploading photos like usual.

I heart Chad and this project found HERE, don't mind me, I'm just in a crabby mood.

5:34am - waking up

5:35am:  View of my recently cleaned room.  It's cluttered for sure, but at least the clothes, shoes (most of them anyway), mail, junk, etc has been picked up, tossed out or put away.  Additional vacuuming and dusting and my roommates probably thought I had invited the queen over.

11:09am:  Running an errand on Caifornia between Davis and Drumm streets.  This is where the California/VanNess Cable Cars line up before taking off.

11:18am:  New sculptures appeared on Front Street between California and Sacramento right next to the Walgreens a couple months ago.  Not sure what the point is except the street beggar had to find a new corner.

11:20am:  Heading back to my office.  There are always pretty pink flowers in these flower pots.  This is also when I realized that I'd failed to grab some lunch while I was out, so I snuck into the little cafe to the right.  They're expensive and slow and the food isn't great, but it's location is quite convenient.

11:31:  Took 10 minutes to get a pre-made sandwich and a salad.  I was the only customer.  I don't understand why they're so slow, but the food LOOKS good, doesn't it?  It wasn't so great.  It's a ham and brie sandwich, but there was A LOT of brie, so I was feeling a little cheesed out by the end of the meal.

5:32pm:  Exiting the Walnut Creek BART station.  Gotta love the Mt. Diablo view - pretty much doesn't matter where you are in the area, it's always looming all magnificent in the distance.

5:33pm:  Opposite viewing direction from the last photo.  Augh, the bain of my existence - Bay Area Rapid Transit.  Stupid unions going on strike next week - what the F do the commuters do??  You're already making over $100,000 to sit and let a computer run the train, why the hell are you arguing over a 3% raise when there are thousands of people in our area that would kill to have that kind of job at the moment.
Selfish, greedy, awful unions.  The strikers should be ashamed of themselves.

5:36pm:  Continuing on my walk through Walnut Creek.  Have you ever really noticed how GINORMOUS stop lights are?

5:40pm:  End destination for my walk.  My car is siiiiiick and they can't figure out what's wrong with it.  It's running, but just not well.  Going back in tomorrow actually.

8:45pm:  Actually had an interesting evening. I drove into Pittsburg to attend a committee meeting for my 10-year high school reunion. I just forgot to take any photos.  This is on Highway 4 - Westbound.  The sky looked so ominous. And although this is blurry, I still really like it.

11:38pm:  End of the day. Typing up notes from the meeting to email to the committee.  Don't you like my striped PJ pants?  Gap on sale.  Look at how there's already a dresser drawer open with clothes trying to escape in the background...

OKAY - it's now 10:02pm. I'm late, but not tooooo bad.  Good night!

When you put half a sandwich wrap in your purse at the end of your lunch with Clair so you can put it in your office fridge for later, PUT IT IN THE FRIDGE DUMMY.

My old bitty crossword puzzle is sopping wet with turkey juice that leaked out of the cellophane wrapper. Now I'm bored on BART. Hmph.

Sitting on BART staring at this raised mole on the back of this woman's neck. Yeah, I know, it's gross, but I thought it was worth sharing.
It's like a third eye. Small, but puffy and abnormal, and really, wouldn't I be doing a service if I politely mentioned that she might want to get it checked out? Let me know when one of you comes up with a polite way for me to say that.

It also has a cousin about an inch up and to the left. But it's not as discolored, but still puffy and raised. The third eye has a couple of dark frekles on it like a little face. It's totally creeping me out. It begs to be snipped off.

It's times like these that I wish I had a camera phone. I have my point and shoot, but that's WAY too obvious and kinda rude.

This is also one of those times I bet all of you are glad that I don't have a camera phone.

The six-foot tall man standing over me on Bart has bad, bad, bad breath. It's 7am. How do you have bad breath? Didn't you just brush your teeth? Were you out of toothpaste? Mouthwash??
He's at least three feet above me (the one time I get a seat in the morning) and I can smell it. Plus he keeps leaning down to get something out of his bag on the floor so it's like a whole new burst of awfullness every minute or so.
Man, I need to star carrying mints in my purse to pass out to bad breath people or those weird people that smell like salami in the morning. I'm not passing out my gum. I only give that out to people I like.

20something guy with 20-something girl. They're acting lovey dovey and his cell phone rings and he answers.

Girl (trying to sound cute): Did you just shush me?? Why'd you shush me?

No response from the guy as he talks on the phone obviously coordinating where he needs to meet the other person on the phone.

Girl (trying harder): I can't believe you shushed me. (Girl leans over and tries to pinch and swat at the guy in a little girl obnoxious way)

Guy swats her away and keeps talking.

Guy into phone: do you have a fifth?

Girl: who is that?

Guy into phone: do you have beer?

Girl: who is that??

Guy into phone: well, do you have food?

Girl: WHO IS THAT???

Guy completely ignoring her and says into the phone: okay, see you in a bit.

Girl: what's going on. Are we hanging out with a bunch of hoodlums?

Guy: we're going to hayward.

Girl: I don't want to get shot.

Guy rolls his eyes and takes out a book.

1) Why is this guy putting up withher baby talk tha she obviously thinks is cute?
2) Why does she think this type of communication is attractive?
3) Why are they going to a party wth no alcohol or food?
4) Why did I blog about this?

I only have one answer and it's to question #4: Because facebook has ruined my ability to write.

Some random thoughts:

Facebook is ruining my blogging. It's so easy to quickly post my status than to create actual thought and put it into words here.

Went to Bikram for the first time in almost a year last week and I didn't die. It was very close though. I think I need to start looking for a new studio in San Ramon.

Working out at crunch today if I can leave work on time. Hasn't been too bad lately, but I never known when random things will keep me there until 9pm.

Loving the 70* weather this week, but I'm thinking that the lack of snow will put a damper on our client ski trip to tahoe in a couple weeks.

Bart still sucks.

Dear soccer mom in a ridiculously big Tundra;

First of all, the speed limit is 35 on the road leading to the BART parking lot in Castro Valley, NOT 15. Please go the next time the light is green instead of slowing down because you figure you might not possibly make it and then heaven forbid you might end up in the intersection when the light turns yellow.

Second of all, there's NO STOP SIGN when you enter the parking lot. All other sides have stop signs, but we do not because the entering traffic has the right away. STOP stopping; you're pissing the rest of us off.

Also, your big, fat ass truck can't fit into that tiny space. No matter how many times you back out, try again, and repeat to no avail, there's no way your car was made for tiny BART spaces. Go park in one of the far empty spaces next to a curb so you have a little extra room to take up and then you're not hugging the space line so little cars like me have to bang into your car to exit our vehicles. Not that I feel bad for banging into your car. You are an idiot after all. Why have such a large, honkin' car when it takes only you and then sits at BART all day?

So I just thought I'd write this in hopes that you might consider looking around you and noticing that there are other people that live in this world besides you and your Tundra. I'm sure if you realized that fact you would try to be less stupid.

Thank you.

All I wanted to do today was leave work on time so I could get to the dry cleaners to get my chorus uniform hemmed and taken in.  BUT, Bart was packed, I took the train back a couple of stations, in the process missing my train, and then decided I might as well go all the way down to Civic Center so I can definitely get a seat.  At this point I knew I could JUST make it if I took the next Dub/Pleasanton train.  So, I'm waiting and waiting, and my train is next, i get on, go all the way to West Oakland and then as the doors are closing I think, why is this train SO empty?  Usually ALL the Dub/Pl trains are jam packed - so what's up?  And then I think...HOLY SHIT, stupid ass BART stuck ANOTHER Pittsburg/Baypoint train in between the Richmond and Dublin trains.  HOWEVER, there was already a Pittsburg/BP train in between the Richmond and Dub/Pl train, so WHY would there be another??? Because BART SUCKS LARGE BALLS.  So I got off at Oakland 12th street, worked my way down to the lower platform and waited for a Fremont train, which was SIX cars and packed, so I ended up standing, which if you missed it, was the WHOLE reason for me going to Civic Center and getting on the train there.  So then I got the Fremont train and had to transfer at Bayfair and get on the Dub/Pl train and I got to my car at 6:30pm.  NINETY friggin' minutes after I left my office and and four trains later..  I wanted to cry.  I honestly thought I might.

Couldn't possibly make it to the dry cleaners and not be that awful person that shows up at closing and requires special attention for hemming and taking things in, so I put on my pjs, took out my contacts and made dinner and I'm now curled up on the sofa trying to block out the world eating chocolate ice cream.  Shelby is being boarded to tonight at the K-9 Club, so I don't even have her to make me feel better.  At least Jon & Kate + 8 is on tonight.

And if you ask me if I'm PMS-ing I'm going to find you, chase you down and throw something heavy at your head.

Thank you for listening.

I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have the option of peeing at my office building before heading the 40 minutes all the way into Castro Valley.

Of all the times I've been out with friends after work while living in the east bay, I'd estimate that I've had to make a stop at my office before continuing home at least 90% of the time. Granted, not every outing ends up in the mission, most of the time my office is on the way TO Bart, but even when it's out of my way like tonight, it's better than having to get off at an empty colesium station or fruitvale.

In our old building over near the transamerica pyramid, we could only enter during biz hours. Our new building has badges that we swipe to enter the building at any hour. The night clerk doesn't even look twice at me anymore; he knows I'm coming right back down in a few minutes.

Bart really needs to come up with an idea for bathrooms in the underground sf stations.

The problem with the mission is that it's ridiculously hard for me to get out of it. It never fails. I always miss my train, I have to pee and I'm surrounded by hoodlums.

Apparently I've turned into an old bitty from the east bay.

Wondering if I can make the next ten minutes for my train and get all the way to at least san leandro before I have to get off the train to pee. Hell, I wonder if I can just make it to the embarcadero to get off and pee at my office.

Oh mission! Why do you hate me?

Can someone please tell me why I have to stand every train ride?!!!? Morning and evening?!?

Why the hell do we get 8 cars every 15 to 20 minutes while pittsburg/bp gets 10 cars every 5 to 7 minutes??? Someone please explain this logic because everytime I need a pitt train I get a seat, no matter what time of day.

Augh, I need a vacation.

Just saw Matty Stout on my BART car. I looked up as we entered the Embarcadero station and we locked eyes for a second. How do you say Hi to someone that you feel like you know so well but would be like, "hey crazy bart lady." Haha

I really miss him on Alice

I want to write a long post. I want to write a good, entertaining, well-thought out post, but my brain and energy are completely drained from my 16-hour day.  I woke up at 5:30am and got home at 10pm.  So I'm off to bed I guess so I can do it all over again.  Augh.  That's depressing.

Here's something more entertaining:  TREMBLE   ...I read this on my blackberry this morning on the train because my BART rides are starting to be the only times when I have time to do something for myself.

I spend a lot of my life on Bart when I would much rather be having fun or be relaxing at home. Tonight I had a happy hour event that I would have liked to have stayed at. I would have liked to have taken all the shots that were going around and I would've liked to have joined everyone for the second location for more drinks, laughs and possibly some dancing. However, I have to get on bart and be sober to drive home from the bart station.
I drank so much water tonight at the shindig that I had to get off at fruitvale to pee. Damn I hate doing that because I have to wait at least 15 minutes until the next dublin/pleasanton train. So I took a fremont train and am now sitting at bayfair waiting for my transfer (safer station to be hanging out at this late at night). My train is almost here, but I have to pee again. Dagnabit.

Tell me why I got to the CV bart station at my usual time around 7:25am and I had to park in the f-ing boonies? Usually I can get a spot in the first or second row - but I had to go to the edge of the parking lot. WTF? Is there a convention going on at the bart station??? Sheesh.

Please don't tell me this means the train is going to be even more packed than usual. I'm so sick of standing.
